Book name forgotten. Help!?

There is a book that I cannot think of the name of. It is about a young boy from new York that smokes pot and is going to kill himself but he callls crisis hotline right befor he does it and admits himself to a mental hospital and makes a bunch of friends and gets out later and writes book based on it.
