Hi I am a qaulified makeup artist how do I get work/work experience in the film or magazine industry?

I have my international cert in makeup artistry , I have 7 months experience working for a glamour photography company but would like to expand into film television body art or magazine work. I would be happy to do voluntry work if it meant I could expand my knowledge or gain leads to paid work . I am not sure where to go or who to contact for work.
