Is it safe to bleach n re-dye?

i asked a question a bit ago about moses basket bits that are blue, but i really wanted pink! anyway, someone suggested i bleach n re-dye them which its a great idea i think! just wondered if its safe 2 bleach n re-dye baby bits and how i'd go about doing it? neva done it b4. wel...i did...but that was in school and i didnt pay that much attention!
